The unconventional path

For two decades I sat on the other side of the interview table. As a senior talent-acquisition specialist I evaluated and hired hundreds of engineers, so I got a close look at what strong software people actually do. Eventually I decided to become one myself.

So I did what I'd always told candidates to do: build proof. I taught myself integration engineering and put in the reps. That work now includes seven MuleSoft APIs, from experience-layer services up to enterprise system APIs, a Spring Boot service that shows the same patterns carry across stacks, and a multi-agent AI platform that automates a lot of the recruiting work I used to do by hand.

I also build for the toughest users I know: my own kid. There's a puzzle game that teaches coding through a small interpreter I wrote, a gentle farm game for toddlers, and a math app with 1,360 auto-generated levels that's live on the web today.

The short version: I can write the software and I understand the people who end up using it.

AI Talent Intelligence Platform

The project I'm proudest of, and the one that ties my whole career together. Four Claude-powered agents parse resumes, rate skills 1–10 with a written rationale, and answer plain-English talent searches through a two-stage SQL and AI pipeline. The part I like most is the "ERP Inhaler": it reads Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft payloads with no hand-written field mappings, because the AI maps whatever schema it's handed. Twenty years of recruiting judgment, turned into working software.

Interview Scheduler API

Microsoft Graph panel-scheduling engine

One of the more painful problems in recruiting ops is finding a single hour when an entire interview panel is actually free. This Mule 4 API reads real calendars through Microsoft Graph, works out where everyone's free time overlaps in DataWeave, emails candidates a tokenized link to pick a slot, and books the interview as a Teams meeting. I built it to be the reliable engine that a conversational AI agent can sit on top of.

Math Odyssey LIVE

Shipped math adventure · Pre-K to 10th grade

A math game for kids that's live, installable, and ready for the app stores. Instead of hand-writing questions, I wrote a roughly 250-line generator that produces all 1,360 levels across 16 topics from a single seed. The Advance edition reuses that same level pool from Pre-K up to 10th grade by turning topics on or off per grade band and scaling the numbers. It adapts to how the child is doing, has a parent dashboard, and keeps COPPA in mind.

Learn-to-code puzzle game with a real interpreter

Kids program a robot named Volt by snapping together command blocks: sequences, loops, functions, and logic. Behind it is a small TypeScript interpreter with recursion and step limits. My favorite part is that npm run verify runs all 40 level solutions through the engine, so a broken puzzle can't ship by accident. It's an offline PWA with a PIN-gated parent dashboard, and it's live.

An enterprise System API built the formal way: from a Technical Design Document, a RAML contract, Oracle stored procedures, and four environment configs. Along the way I fixed a SQL-injection risk that the reference design had shipped with.

An ATS pipeline modeled by someone who has actually run one: requisitions, candidates, valid stage transitions, and a funnel summary aggregated in DataWeave. It's my recruiting-ops experience turned into a data model.

Employee Management API

The same employee domain rebuilt in Spring Boot 3, to show I'm not tied to one stack. It covers both contract-first and code-first OpenAPI in a single repo, with 30 tests running from Mockito units up to full integration.

Bank Customer API

A contract-first customer CRUD microservice for banking, with derived account numbers, age-verification rules, account-type normalization, correlation-ID tracing, and a Postman demo that seeds its own data. It's the same template as my other APIs, moved into a new industry.

Weather Experience API

A small experience-layer wrapper around OpenWeatherMap with a rate limiter I wrote by hand. It caps traffic at 50 requests a minute using per-minute Object Store counters, and returns a proper HTTP 429 when you go over.

Nibbly Farms

A "feed the animals" game for ages 2–4 with one rule I set for myself: no losing, no timers, no stress. Thirteen scenes cover shapes, colors, counting, and letters. Every sprite is inline SVG and every sound is generated with WebAudio, so there are no asset files at all. I built it for my own toddler.
